Ecological sustainability through technical textiles
Technical textiles are modern and ecologically sustainable building materials that offer many advantages
The HUESKER Group is aware of its social, economic and ecological responsibility. Sustainable development is generally understood as development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. The preservation of nature's ability to regenerate and the creation of a balance between mankind and the ecosystem are a priority.
This is complemented by social and economic sustainability. HUESKER is committed to the principles of sustainability. Our services and innovations should serve our customers and society. We strive to use energy and resources sparingly throughout the entire process - from the development to the completion and application of our products.
Studies confirm significant CO2 reduction through geosynthetics
Geosynthetics are high-quality and durable plastics whose sustainability is proven.
The 2010 study "Sustainable Geosystems in Civil Engineering Applications" (WRAP) impressively demonstrates the significant savings potential in the use of geosynthetics on the basis of individual case studies. Compared to conventional construction methods, up to 89% CO2 emissions are saved.
Innovative geotextiles can thus make a resource-efficient contribution to permanently reducing CO2 emissions in the construction industry.
