Greenhouse Shading
Effective sun protection for healthy plants
Depending on their location and the cultivated plant species, greenhouses sometimes require shading measures. HUESKER's horticulture segment provides shading fabrics for indoor installation. The high-grade, durable fabrics are supplied with a variety of shading coefficients and a flame retardant rating according to DIN 4102-1 B1, DIN EN 13501-1 B-s1, d0 and NTA 8825 Class 1, dr0. Further benefits of our UmbraTex® shading fabrics are its high energy saving aspect, a UV-stability of 10 years behind glass and an expected service life of more than 20 years.
Shading fabrics
Certain plants (e.g. half-shade plants) are subject to rigorous demands in terms of light and watering. Depending on their location and the cultivated plant species, greenhouses sometimes require shading measures. In response to these needs, HUESKER supplies state-of-the-art screens, made from fine-meshed, high-strength polyester fabrics, which have been successfully used in greenhouses for many years. By selecting an appropriate colour of fabric various light transparencies are possible so that optimum light distribution can be achieved. Furthermore, not only a positive influence on energy savings is generated by the good climatic conditions inside the greenhouse, but also the emission of CO2 will be reduced. The superior flame protection (B1, Class 1) corresponds to all legal requirements for greenhouses and garden centres.
Black-Out Fabric
Based on the latest innovation programmes, particularly the saving of energy is set as a focus and funded accordingly. You support this trend sustainably by employing the quality fabrics from HUESKER. When installing UmbraTex® Blackout, you save approx. 50 % of your energy while fulfilling all legal requirements regarding fire protection and light pollution through artificial lights in greenhouses.
