Ultimat® TGS
Ultimat TGS is a geocomposite absorbent nonwoven used primarily for its water retention properties in green roof structures (vegetated roof covers).
Ultimat TGS is comprised of a 100% post-consumer recycled polyester nonwoven layer that is mechanically bonded to a synthetic hydrophilic (water) absorbent matte which holds 10-12% of its weight in water, helping plant roots stay wet longer. The typical roll size of 8 feet (2.4 m) x 150 feet (45.7 m) weighs only 180 pounds (82 kg) for easy handling and installation. Ultimat TGS is inert to biological degradation and naturally encountered chemicals, alkalies, and acids.
Features
High absorptive capacity
Filter layer to separate media
Excellent drainage
Extremely resistant to puncture and tearing
Why choose Ultimat nonwovens?
Ultimat TGS is typically used in green roof structures which are an important element in LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environment Design) green building certification. Green roofs contribute as many as 15 credits to this system depending on the green roof design. Green roofs add financial value to buildings by extending the service life of the roof, reducing energy costs, and increasing the property value.
